Background

I completed my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees in Psychology with a specialization in sport psychology, as well as a Bachelor's in Philosophy at the University of Salzburg. After working as a student assistant and senior scientist at the Sleep and Consciousness Lab at the University of Salzburg, I completed the asp-certified training to become a sport psychology expert. Currently, I work as a research assistant and PhD student at the Sport Faculty at Leipzig University and as a project assistant at the University of Salzburg.

Research Interests

My research focuses on how social and individual factors influence the sleep quality of competitive athletes. In particular, I am interested in the interplay between sport-specific demands and psychological processes that may help protect and enhance athletes’ sleep. Additionally, I explore how physiological changes across different life circumstances such as menstrual cycle phases or periods of injury affect sleep patterns and recovery.
